Online Testing Center
The JRA Online Testing Center is used by the JRA office to manage the online administration of the tests on which the JRA Police and Public Safety Selection reports are based. Each online testing session is set up on the basis of the characteristics specified by the customer for whom the testing session is being done.

Downloading the online data for processing
Once the data is collected, it can be downloaded to the computer of either the JRA office or the customer for whom the data was collected, depending on who will be processing the data and using it to create test reports.

There is a simple download command in the Test Scoring System software that allows the data to be downloaded, after the user password is entered.

Setting up a testing session
When setting up a testing session (or "batch") the following characteristics can be specified:

• The Customer's name (usually a psychologist doing pre-employment evaluations or an agency doing background investigations)
• The Test that is being administered (e.g., CPI, PAI, PsyQ, STAXI, or PHQ)
• The Agency for which the testing is being done (e.g., the San Francisco Police Dept.)
• The Password that test takers must enter into the login screen in order to take the test
• The Start and End dates for the testing session
• A narrative Description of the testing session (e.g., a description of the position for which applicants are being tested and other pertinent details of the testing session)
• Whether or not the test is a Walk-in in which applicants can take the test without having their names and Social Security Numbers pre-specified on a list prepared by the customer for whom the testing is being done.
• Whether an applicant can Re-take the test more than once during the testing session.
• Whether the test taker is required to Explain Answers given to the test questions (PHQ only)
• Whether the test taker is allowed to Review Answers given to the test questions (PHQ only)
• Whether the test has a Time Limit (PHQ only)

Managing the online data
The Online Testing Center has several commands that can be used to manage the online data that has been collected. The commands are

• Delete one or more test records
• Edit a specified test record, by changing the the test taker's name, Social Security number, or the name of the testing session to which the test record is assigned
• Refresh the screen to reflect changes that have been made
• Reset Incomplete data records in which the testing time has expired, so that the test taker can finish the test
• Reset Download status of one or more test records, so that test records that have already been downloaded can be downloaded again
• Export the test data records to an Excel file
