This continuing education (CE) offering is suitable for experienced public safety psychologists. The presentation will focus on conducting fitness-for-duty evaluations (FFDEs) of law enforcement officers for psychologists. It will cover the legal, ethical, and procedural considerations involved in these assessments. Best practices for evaluating an officer’s psychological and cognitive functioning while ensuring fairness and adherence to professional guidelines will be discussed.
